I must admit, I purchased it on the novelty factor but was amazed at how well the pen records audio in large lecture halls. It was better than i expected, now i am able to carry all of my notes from class around with me in my laptop. "

" Having seen some exciting videos about the Livescribe, I was initially very dubious about how good the microphone pick up would be on the item and held off on purchasing it, even though it seemed like a useful product. That was until a friend of mine who owned the product mentioned it to me and said that the audio quality was certainly good enough for its purpose and even better when the headset (which is included and has two built in microphones) was used. Upon his reccomendation, I purchased my own and found that for its application, that the built in microphone is better than I thought it would be and the headset serves its purpose extremely well. It is important to note that it doesn't provide crystal clear audio, but considering the reasons that people might use the Livescribe, crystal clear audio isn't really required. Computer synchronisation is quick and easy and allows you to store all your notes digitally. Overall I think its a great and innovative product and have found it very useful."
