Marist Brothers College

The College comprises 1440 students from Years 5 to 12, 200 of whom are boarders. There are currently 1145 secondary students and 295 junior students enrolled. The College provides wide ranging programs encompassing academic achievement, the visual and performing arts, sporting success and service projects.

The 23-hectare campus is characterised by a sense of history combined with a clear focus on the future. From the stately Tower Block (circa 1930) which still stands today as an Ashgrove icon, to the $11m Performing and Visual Arts Complex, the campus provides the best of both worlds. There are now approximatelt eight hundred (800) computers on the College Campus. The Performing and Visual Arts Complex (PVAC) is the jewel in the College’s crown.

The College is home to a high-tech VideoPro Film and Television Centre. There are three interactive and flexible teaching spaces for film and television, all with computer network access. Each incorporates digital editing suites and AMX audio-visual equipment controlling a DVD, video, CD and data projector. The Centre also incorporates a recording studio for voice overs and a green-screen for superimposing. An equipment store houses numerous digital 3CCD video cameras, video mics, lighting kits, tripods, HDD burner and video conversion equipment.
